Paul Remmonds
Paul has a wealth of experience having been involved in swimming as a competitor and coach for over 40 years.
As a swimmer Paul represented Great Britain. As a coach Paul has coached swimmers to national and international success. Paul has experience with international teams since 1987; in 2004 he was assistant coach with the Great Britain team at the World Short Course Championships where he coached James Hickman to his fifth successive title in the 200m Butterfly. |
Academically |
A sports science degree provided Paul with all of the subjects necessary for a career in coaching: it provided him with the insight and theoretical knowledge to plan and implement sport science and sport medicine support.
Paul’s ASA Senior Coach Certificate focused on the principles of planning for peak performance and in particular the preparation and planning of altitude training as an aid to achieving peak performance. |
Coaching |
At Derwentside, Glasgow, Manchester and Wirral Paul built highly successful programmes from the ground up.
Paul's passion lies in working with swimmers who wish to maximise their potential. He has had success with a wide range of swimmers from Age Group, through Juniors to Open and has trained National Champions in events ranging from 50m to 1500m. |
